This year’s News Neediest arrives once again during a period of great uncertainty for many Western New Yorkers. Help us support them during the holidays, and beyond, by making a monetary donation to the 2023 News Neediest Fund. As part of the Western New York Holiday Partnership, every dollar you donate directly benefits a child or family in need through FeedMore WNY.

Every dollar makes a difference

Thanks to your support of the 2022 News Neediest fund, The Buffalo News was able to give $156,000 to FeedMore WNY, making it another successful year of spreading hope. Your support helped provide nearly 66,000 meals to 15,000 households across Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties and allowed us to deliver 8,322 toys to children in need during the holiday season.

About News Neediest

The Buffalo News started the News Neediest Fund in 1981 in response to the great need we witnessed in our community. Since then, our region has grown in so many ways, but the tradition of News Neediest continues on. Thanks to the generosity of Western New Yorkers near and far, we’re able to support families in need with holiday gifts and meals year after year.

If your family or a family you know could use support this season from the 2023 News Neediest Fund, please call 888-696-9211 for more information.

The WNY Holiday Partnership coordinates the delivery of toys based on need.

Meals purchased with News Neediest Funds are distributed through FeedMore WNY each year.
